Aesha Kennedy was born in the U.S. of Japanese American heritage. She worked ten years as product developer of styles and fabrics in the fashion industry in New York City. During this time she attended evening painting classes at School of Visual Arts.
In 1993 she travelled to Australia on holiday and met her husband there. Now living in northern NSW Australia, she works as a full time visual artist and part time yoga teacher.
In 1997 she furthered her art studies in Australia at TAFE Lismore, graduating with distinction.
Since 1999 her unique mixed media drawings have been selling in the local galleries.
In 2001 she began painting full time. Inspired by nature or by human expression, they invite the viewer to stop, take a breath, and be inspired by the beauty around us and within us.
